At our restaurant, every course portrays a prosperous Sicily with genuine, quality products. We have therefore decided to make the caper its symbol – an ingredient that is difficult to cultivate, that must be picked by hand and without any mechanical aid. It is small, yet makes the difference in every dish. We only source it from Sicilian producers, and we try to do the same with the other ingredients we use in our dishes.
Sea and meat specialities
The menu at Il Cappero features a variety of dishes that encompass the products of our sea as well as those of our land, even including vegetables from our garden. From starters to desserts, including first and second courses, the aim is to introduce Sicilian cuisine in a completely new way, through the chef’s reinterpretations and a new take on tradition.
